About Us
‘‘The
Art of Irish Music’ recognises and gives voice to past and current gifted
Irish musicians, away from their musical amalgamation under the broad ‘Celtic
Music’ banner. This site gives our up and coming artists the chance to be heard
and brings our well-established artists homage for their achievements. We aim
to give our visitors access to the traditional and contemporary genres, fusions
and sounds ranging from Ireland. What began as a duo (Lily & Ali) running a small information and promotional webpage on Irish music, has gained world – renowned status for its recognition of Irish music and musicians in their own right. This organisation is dedicated to promoting Irish artists and their culture to educate our visitors in ‘The Art of Irish Music’.
All of the artists on our website have contributed to the longevity of their Irish heritage and culture through their music. In their success many Irish artists have gone on to support, instigate and influence world recognised humanitarian efforts in the form of charities and concerts including: Live Aid and Make Poverty History.
"The value of the individual, love of land, and love for music promoted by Irish performers in their music, translates across to their humanitarian efforts to draw people together from all walks of life for a good cause.” – Executive Director of ‘The Art of Irish Music’.
